Paediatric Unit Volunteer (Bradford Royal Infirmary)

We are looking for volunteers who are kind, good listeners, non-judgmental and able to play and organise appropriate activities for children. The volunteer will have direct patient contact with parents and patients of all ages, a range of cultural and spiritual backgrounds and complex health needs.

Volunteers will spend time with the child playing with and supporting them, including offering comfort if required. Volunteers will also support parents to enable them to have a short break to eat, shower or leave the ward for a short amount of time, with the comfort of knowing there is someone there to stay with their child.
