Volunteer PLACE Assessor

NHS England and the Department of Health recommend that all hospitals, hospices and independent treatment centres providing NHS funded care undertake an annual assessment of the quality of non-clinical services and condition of their buildings. These assessments are referred to as patient-led assessments of the care environment (PLACE).

We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping assess the quality of the patient environment and help make improvements.

Assessments are carried out on an annual basis and we are recruiting for volunteers now, ready to start the assessments in September 2025.
